The T/P48 Printing press was launched in during the British Fair in 1947 but due to the economic climate at the time it wasn't full advertised till 1950.
The T/P refers to the machine being powered by eather a Treadle (foot pedal) or by Power.
The use of a treadle or electric motor meant both hands were available for loading and unloading the paper to be printed.
The unusual thing about this press was it's D shaped drum. The flat part of the drum held the type. The rest of the drum contained the ink.
